Skoda is gearing up to introduce the new Octavia RS in the Indian market in November 2025. The performance sedan will arrive as a imported CBU (Completely Built Unit) and will be produced in limited numbers. Price estimates place it at ₹50–55 lakh (ex-showroom).
Power & Performance
- Under the hood: a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine delivering 265 BHP and 370 Nm of torque, the same unit found in the Volkswagen Golf GTI.
- Transmission: 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT). Front-wheel drive with an electronically controlled limited-slip differential on the front axle.
- Performance: 0–100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds; top speed capped at 250 km/h.
- Braking: 340 × 30 mm ventilated disc brakes in front; 310 × 22 mm at the rear.
- Suspension: The India-spec model will omit the adaptive Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) system found in the global variant.
Interior & Features
The Octavia RS will incorporate a range of premium features including:
- A 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, plus integrated satellite navigation.
- A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.
- Sport seats with contrast red stitching, a flat-bottom RS steering wheel, carbon décor, and aluminum pedals.
- Climate control is tri-zone; heated seats front and rear. A panoramic sunroof will be optional.
Safety & Practicality
Safety features have been well-thought-out:
- Multiple airbags, electronic stability control, front-assist with city emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-assist, blind-spot detection, and a driver alert system.
- Boot capacity is 600 litres, expandable to 1,555 litres with rear seats folded down.
Exterior Styling
Visually, the Octavia RS delivers sporty and distinct design cues:
- New RS-specific bumpers front and rear, black-accented grille.
- LED Matrix headlamps embellished with Crystallinium elements and animated LED rear lights.
- Alloy wheels, sports exhaust, motion-activated tailgate.
