Big Price Drops for Honda Two-Wheelers After GST Cut

Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India is passing significant savings to customers following the country’s latest GST reforms, which come into effect from 22 September 2025. All Honda scooters and bikes will see price cuts of up to ₹18,887.


What changed under the GST reform

  • Two-wheelers with engines under 350cc are now taxed at 18%, down from 28%.
  • Bikes and scooters above 350cc will see their tax rate rise to 40%, up from 31%.

Which types benefit most

  • Commuter scooters and lower-cc models (e.g. Activa, Shine, Dio) are seeing moderate price reductions in the range of about ₹5,000-₹9,000.
  • Mid-range and premium bikes, especially those close to or above 350cc, are witnessing the steepest reductions—up to nearly ₹19,000 off.
